The journey of ACPL was started in 1989 with a purchase of second hand Three Wheeler Rickshaw Tempo to deliver the parcels of “Patel Roadways” by Founder Mr. Baban Shelke, The Mornings were busy in local transportation of Milk & Ice and the evening Business was to transport Oil cans to the local Store-keepers.He purchased second hand Bajaj Metador and started a business in Satara, Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar & Karad District for the transportation of Building Material, Cloths Bundle & Food Material to the local customers.
He purchased one more Tata 407 vehicles and his first customer was “Crane Process Flow Technologies, Satara” for “Trip Services” of “Industrial Goods” out of District, in the area Pune, Kolhapur, Belgaum & Palghar.
This Transportation activity gained the name “Avinash Transport”.
One-Seater matador, Old Tata 608 and New Tata 709 were new vehicles added into fleet. He gained a supportive hand of Mrs. Bhagirathi Shelke his wife, Mr. Ravindra Jankar and Mrs. Malan Jankar, with 5 drivers. Also added regularized routes of Part load services in Pune & Belgaum.
All this was being Operated with an office started from STD Booth in Satara, Pune & Belgaum.
Mr. Baban Shelke shifted the Business activities from STD booth to owned offices in 4 District Satara, Pune, Kolhapur & Belgaum.He added 20 more Vehicles, 20 Staff & 30 Drivers. In this period, he invested more time on their Start-Up of new Branches and expansion.
Mr. Baban Shelke started focusing on Basic Flow Structure of process, organizational System and Business Strategies.
Company certified as " Pvt Ltd " and started following all Government rules and regulations through company Acts and Policies. Also, 4 new business regions were added in ACPL Profile i.e. Mumbai, Nashik, Ahmedabad & Hubli. A New Division for Container was formed in Mumbai with a goal to enter into domain of Logistics industry. In this time span Company Included Value-added Services, Annual Meetings for staff in consideration of business growth. Self-Motivation Activities for Driver and staff, Diwali Function and Awards.
At the end of 2005 ACPL Incorporated 30+ Branches, 100+ Vehicle & 100+ Office Staff.
Mr. Baban Shelke was Honored with National Award in 2006 by Mr. GVG Krishnamurthy (Election Commissioner of India) “Rastriya Nirman Ratna” from Indian Organization for Business research and Development, New Delhi.
ACPL Started with Six Sigma Theory and Kaizen Theory implementation in Business process. Also Invested in Software System; recognizing ACPL growth and strategy. ACPL Started with basic parameters like Performance Matrix by defining the Growth, Safety, Quality Delivery and Designed key performance Indicators in the Whole Organization.
In this time span, ACPL started with Transshipment Hubs at Mumbai, Pune, Satara & Belgaum and also Expanded in Karnataka & Goa States.
ACPL added Web-based Software for flexible and smooth Services, Expanded with new Technologies in Transshipment Hubs Like CCTV Camera, Professional equipment in operation system under transformation to Digital platform.
In this Period, ACPL Started new branches in the Gujarat state catering services at all locations.
ACPL Started with Individual Performance for better understanding and performance of employee's professional growth with work life balance.
Awarded by Indian Institute of Materials Management for “Best supply chain management practices in SERVICE SECTOR – Large scale” in 2018.
Added new branches in the states of Tamilnadu and Madhya Pradesh with corporate office in Pune.
New Technologies included like GPS System in vehicles, Establishment of own Data Center in Head office, Nationalized customer Contracts through out.Developed and engaged with team of Young Forces in work process.
Currently, ACPL has a presence in 6+ States, 210+ Branches, 1400+ Young Forces & 900+ Vehicles.
